Arrival Dates:
Placements start on every Monday of the month so please arrive on Saturday or Sunday before. Take note that the placement is closed between 15th July and 05th August and also between 15th December and 6th January due to holiday periods.
 
The league takes place between April and November so please come between these times if you wish to play and train with one of th elocal sides(pre-season training begins in February). Therefore, the Rugby placement in January will take part only on government projects within the city.

Preferred Duration:
We would like volunteers to come on preferably an 8 or 12 week trip if possible. This ensures better management of the project and also helps you get the most from the social activities and group travel opportunities on offer. However, it is possible to come for any duration from 4 to 12 weeks.
Typical Hours:
The Rugby sessions take place during week for approximately 4 hours each day. About two and a half hours coaching rugby in the disadvantaged communities and 2 hours coaching at Floresta RC on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Training with the senior team occurs from 8pm to 10.30pm. There are optional matches and tournaments at weekends.
Prerequisites:
No prior coaching experience or qualifications are required, but a basic understanding of the game and/or playing experience is necessary. You also need to be healthy and of reasonable fitness. Basic conversational Spanish is required.

Sports gap years, career breaks, gap breaks, gap years, student summer holidays and volunteer travel.
Accomodation:
Homestay accommodation; Basic but comfortable; Shared rooms; Shared toilet / shower with homestay.
Food:
Breakfast is included; Budget £8-£10 per day for lunches and dinner.
Airport Pick-Up:
Included on arrival date. Ask us for details if you are arriving early.
Training:
Full project induction and local orientation given on arrival.
Support:
Pre-departure help and advice; Local in-country team; 24 hour emergency support.
Donation:
Part of your fee is used to buy decent equipment for the project and community you work with.
Flights; Travel Insurance; Visas; Vaccinations; Spending money; In country travel; Laundry service; Extra activities not on itinerary.
