Experience all these in our 3 week packed adventure, including a week in Ghana’s capital city - Accra, residing in our private home in the suburb of the city called Teshie.
You will get the opportunity to do some volunteering in an orphanage/care centre during your first week in Accra, teaching basic English and Mathematics to enthusiastic young children who are deprived of decent education due to extreme poverty.
For sports lovers we have a range of placement activities on offer for you to learn and coach your favourite sport in the local community and at schools.
Other highlights include an opportunity to learn the traditional Ghanaian way of cooking, African drumming and dancing lessons to get you in the party mood, a beginner’s class to introduce you to our most commonly spoken Ghanaian languages and finally a chance to develop your artistic flair by learning how to carve an elephant or create your own African painting.
Ghana is located on the West Coast of Africa, and is one of the most thriving democracies on the continent. It has often been referred to as an "island of peace" in one of the most chaotic regions on earth. Ghana is no doubt one of the friendliest and most popular English speaking destinations in Africa, and with its rich culture, stunning sceneries and welcoming population it’s not hard to see why. With an eclectic mix of traditional African culture and burgeoning western influences, Ghana is undoubtedly one of the most up and coming “must-visit” destinations in the world!
